Does your dog or cat have fleas? Put a little bit of garlic in his or her food! Joesy and Scarlet, StartMotions Founder's dog and cat, were flea free for 11 years straight because we'd put garlic powder or fresh garlic was put in their food as little as once a year! (Chopped garlic is often spit out because the taste is to concentrated and the pieces are bigger than the powder.) This is a great alternative to the flea treatments currently avaliable, and works without chemicals, in fact, garlic has many other medicinal qualities and will most likely improve your pets overall health while ridding them of fleas naturally!
Does your dog or cat have arthritis? We've found that putting a pinch of gelatin powder (plain jello mix) helps ease their sore joints for about a week (it takes about 2 days for them to feel results). An additonal to help him or her, is to rub the affected areas in a small circular motion, this helps cells move around and increases blood flow.
Would you like to preserve your pets eyesight? Is your pet loosing his or her eyesight? Carrots are excellent preventative measures to take as soon as possible in your dogs life, especially when they're used like a tug-of-war game (younger cats usually don't like them). For older dogs and cats pureed and/or somewhat chunky carrot will be a tricky, yet very beneficial thing to introduce. Older dogs and cats tend to like sweeter tasting things, so sometimes carrots can be the perfect treat. If they eat it (it may take some time) both you and your pet will see a long term difference in a week or less!
