This animation has been shown in public schools accompained by a questionnaire. The crucial need for environmental education was evident from the results. When the children were asked "Are you worried that some of the animals you saw in this movie may not be alive when you grow up?" a disappointing 76% said "No" or even "Nope". This is a combination of lack of knowledge and apathy, the two main ingredients contributing to the problems we are addressing. About one out of every five animal species will be gone forever by the time they grow up...maybe even two, three, or four times that. We must change our destructive habits now. The results of this questionnaire initially scared and saddened us, kids not caring about the environment? About animals? The results made us even more determined to make a feature length movie that will counteract these attitudes toward nature.
