  • Astonishing Animals : Extraordinary Creatures and the Fantastic Worlds They Inhabit by Tim Flannery. An illustrated book of some pretty astonishing animals!
  • The Biodiverstiy Crisis - Loosing What Counts by Michael J. Novacek - A cause and effect book about specific instances. It shows what is happening in the environment as well as what is being done to stop it.

  • Penguins of the World by Wayne Lynch.
  • Penguin Planet by Kevin Schafer.
  • Portraits of the Rainforest by Adrian Forsyth, Photos Michael and Patricia Fogden - Great writing, smaller but beautiful photos.
  • Save The Birds by Robert Bateman, Antony W. Diamond, Rodolf L. Schreiber.
  • Serengeti: Natural Order on the African Plain by Mitsuaki Iwago. A collection of great photos.
  • Sociobiology by Edward O. Wilson - Very scientific explanations of animals' behaviors, evolutions, everything. No photos, drawings instead. (Reference book)
  • Tropical Rainforests of the World by Rupert O. Matthews - Huge pictures, good descriptions
  • Untamed by Steve Bloom. This extra big book is full of beautiful animal photos from front to back. It's hard to tell if they have been fixed up in photoshop, and he grazes over altering the images in the introduction, but the photos, weather real or not, are beautiful and big.
  • Wildlife Photographs by Mitssuaki Iwago. Another great animal photography book, this book spans the globe giving you a taste of many different animals. Front to back images.
